Zerodha Revives Referral Program, Taps into Word-of-Mouth Growth
Zerodha has officially brought back its referral program, following a period of regulatory uncertainty. Founder Nithin Kamath emphasized that this initiative is crucial for driving growth, noting that a substantial portion of the firm's expansion has stemmed from personal recommendations. Historically, around 30% of new accounts were generated through referrals, but Kamath suggests the true figure might be even higher, potentially exceeding 50%.
The reintroduced program is designed to benefit both newcomers and those who have previously referred clients, reinforcing the company's commitment to leveraging its community for growth.
