PCB Overhauls Player Classification System
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to revamp its player contract system, moving away from the traditional four-category classification of players labeled A to D. Instead, players will now be categorized based on their expertise in specific formats of the game.
This shift reflects a strategic change aimed at better aligning player contracts with the formats they excel in, potentially enhancing both player performance and team competitiveness. The PCB's new system is anticipated to streamline player management and focus more on the unique skills required for formats like Test, ODI, and T20.
