A recent study spearheaded by a researcher from Tulane University reveals that human-induced sea-level rise is dramatically elevating the likelihood of extreme coastal flooding around the globe. The findings, featured in the journal Nature Climate Change, indicate that flooding events previously anticipated to happen once every century are now, on average, occurring approximately 12 times more frequently.
